Company history

Today we reveal the secret of how our thin stone veneers are created: A few years ago, the (German) TV team from ProSieben accompanied us to film an interesting feature about Slate-Lite.

In this video, Gernot Ehrlich, the original discoverer of Slate-Lite, also has his say and talks about the beginnings of our thin slate decors.

Our favourite stone in September

With over 70 decors, it's not always easy to name your personal favourite. That's why we simply change our minds every month and choose a "Stone of the Month", which will be in the spotlight this month.
This time it's our coloured slate decor DESERT ROCK, which makes the hearts of every stone lover beat faster with its striking, rock-like structures and colours.
Rough and gritty grains and strongly pronounced elevations are the core feature of this favourite decor!

Three-dimensionally deformable stone!

Thin stone was not yet thin enough for us: with the introduction of our UltraThin eco+ product line in 2009, the laws of nature were finally turned on their heads.
With the flexible cotton mat as the backing material, three-dimensionally malleable stone was suddenly available for extreme curves and complex shapes and has caused amazement and fresh design ideas not only in the creative sector.
